Leopard at Samburu -- Leopard is the most elusive of cats. This was taken with a 500mm lens with a 1.4x extender on the Canon 40D, an equivalent focal length of 1120mm! It was like taking it with a telescope. I waited and waited for the cat to turn its head. After quite a while, it looked straight at us for a couple of seconds and with perfect lighting, and I pushed the shutter to have that moment frozen. I would love to wait for it to come down the tree. Unfortunately, the reserve closes at 6:30pm and we all had to leave, though we were the last to go.
